I've seen the Game Unit Maps for a couple different units, and they were good for land ownership.  I wish I could remember who made them, but it's escaping me now.  I did see that Outdoor Emporium in Seattle had some of them for sale.  Call them and see if they have the ones for those units.

Not knowing anything about that area, if I were to decide to hunt it, I think I'd be calling Bearpaw for some of his maps.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

I personally prefer the DNR land, but  deer can be found on the public land around Newport or Colville. Whitetail are so quick and cautious.  Sitting really works the best.  It will be a challenge to find a 4 pointer willing to sit still.  I drive through some farm country on the way to my spot.  Very frustrating as there are deer everywhere. Try around the bead lake area near the Idaho border.

My buddy missed a 4 x 4 earlier this year on the LPO refuge, while i was with him.  :chuckle: so there may still be a very nice buck out there.
