PICK'N PEACHES

WOW what an incredible season! However, glad to be back on flat ground after two+ weeks in the Mtn's. We were lucky enough to have made some great friends and have a hand in the taking of 6 Bulls this year. (to date).
Yesterday was the cherry on top as my best friend and hunting partner, Mrs Rhino finally scored her first Big Bull! I have met a lot of guys in the woods that couldn't hold a candle to her skills, toughness and determination and it's nice to see mother nature reward her.
The season started with her supporting me in taking a spike during archery season in 90 degree weather to rain, snow and hiking though blizzard like conditions this week.
After several attempts at hunting Bulls we had been watching all year we were just never able to close the deal. Soon after the start of the regular season all the big boys went into hiding and we had to start hiking further and hunting harder.
After spotting a group of elk at last light on Tuesday we decided to make a run at them first thing Wednesday morning. Shortly after first light we glassed a couple 6x6 bulls, 2 cows and a spike feeding their way into the timber out of a small clear cut. I stayed on the hill and glassed while Bobbi made her way down to get in range. Once in the clear cut she was unable to see the bulls due to tall brush so I headed down to help try and loacte them. After a stealthy hunt through the clear cut it was obvious they had disappeared. Just when we were about to climb out and move on we hear some brush move and sure enough this 7x7 was the last guy to leave the clear cut and was standing in a small opening at about a 100 yards. Bobbi made a great chip shot and center punched it through both lungs and it dropped within 20 yards.
After 8 hours and three horse, we were back to the trailer, braking camp and heading home.
Was an amazing day. Pictures to follow soon!

Nice job guys!! Those horses make the pack out look a lot easier that's for sure! Good to see Bobbi score on a great bull. Makes mine look like a real baby bull, haha.
