Gunsmith in Spokane
«

My grandpa gave me his .270 model 721 Remington rifle before he passed on. I'm guessing it is over 40 years old and have hunted with it ever since. After hunting in a rainstorm this year, I noticed the varnish on the stock is fading bad and it is time to revarnish the stock. Can someone recommend a gunsmith in the Spokane area that could help me out. Thanks

I don't mess with wood stocks much, but you may be able to take care of this yourself quite cheap. Post a pic.

With a long winter ahead of you, I suggest you refinish it youself. I did one in high school, and it's realy simple. Sand off all the old finish, apply what ever color stain you wish, then apply a sealer coat.

I am sure High Mountain in Moses Lake could help you out! They open Black Friday.
