I'm assuming by dogs he's talking yotes and I figure since he posted on an open forum that he's legal with the snares....I hope anyways.

So that puts things in a different light. Hope I didn't offend but off reservation it's illegal and it wasn't clear to me where it was.
Makes you wonder what they are going to do with the yotes. I think I'd call the furbuyer and give him a heads up. Might turn up something.

If this happened to me I would give up fur trapping and concentrate on catching the thieves. Thats total BS. Hope you find them.

is there any larger "traps" that could be set around the area that still stay within the legal peramiters?

Since mouse and rat traps are legal build your own. Build a very big one and cover it with leaves with a snare on the release. Game cams might work.

It's a weird thing were the snares are.  There by an orchard.  I didn't know people would eat yotes.  The people stealing them aren't smart enough to sell them I personally think there going in the crock pot.  Me and her dad are going to do some catching on thieves real soon.  Even if they don't understand my language there are a few things in this world that are universal and one being the blued barrel of a colt 45.
