Montana success 2011
« on: November 24, 2011, 07:09:15 PM »
The hunt was tougher than in years past and the crazy wind never stopped blowing while we were over in montana this year.  Despite that we were still able to tag four bucks and a doe.  It took until the halfway point of our trip until someone finally dropped one and then on the second to last day we dropped the rest.  The story on mine is not to exciting but here goes.  After passing on a nice three point on day two because i really wanted a four point and missing two other bucks i was starting to feel the pressure.  I was in an area I had not hunted but my brother shot a nice four point out of last year so i was hoping to do the same.  It was about 9 in the morning and i had walked a ways and not seen much.  I was walking the bottom of a drainage and just came over a rise and saw a buck feeding in front of me at about 100 yds.  I was quick to get the gun to myh shoulder and pulled the trigger before the buck even saw me.  And just that quick my hunt was over he dropped were he was feeding.  With the low deer numbers over there i was grateful to have landed a nice buck.  Here are some pics of my buck and the others we landed.
