anyone out there connect on a buck during the late hunt? Haven't heard of any success and I am wondering if there is any deer left around there.

I was at a local taxidermist the other day, he had some really nice washougal blackies. I had my wife out the whole season and we couldn't find one. I think the unit has to much hunting pressure in it. The animals hole up in the thick stuff and don't come out.

I know of a couple bucks taken out of the Yacolt, Weyerhaeuser tree farm....

I was up there during L/B trying to help my buddy get his deer. I connected during the first season, so I was his driver.
I had dropped him so he could hunt the timber, and I would wait for him on a lower road. I had been there about an hour
when I looked in the side mirror to see a nice forky sneaking behind the truck about 50 yards.  :bash:
