places to hunt close to Bellevue?
« on: November 28, 2011, 07:39:35 AM »
I am new to the area and live in Bellevue. I would love to have a place or two for duck/geese hunting close to home. Please help with suggestions.

Cherry Valley and the Snoqualmie wildlife area would be closest to you.  You can go to the wDFW site and click on their 'go hunt' page for access areas.

Both are also pheasant release sites, so it's really tough to decoy birds with guys walking around in blaze orange.

There really are no more close in public spots of any quality anymore.  You have to drive at least an hour.5 to the Welt's area up by Bow Edison or 3hrs plus to the EWA areas.

Thanks for the tip. I will check out the area this weekend, maybe both days Sat & Sun. If someone wants to meet and come along send me a PM.
