Anyone have any experience hunting chukar on the reservation in Yakima? I ran into my first covey of them a couple of weeks ago in the snow after many years of hunting the valley for pheasant and quail. Are the hills on either side of Hwy 97 south of Toppenish accessible? I've never hunted chukar before but would love to get a chance at some.
One caveat...no dog. I do have a hunting partner though. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
