Custom Savage 338Edge

This is my first build the specs are.

Savage DP TA
P.T.G. Bolt Body - Ground to .6995 for .0015 clearance.
Savage LA Mag Bolt Head - Modified to work with the SA.
N.S.S. Precision Recoil Lug.
PacNor PreFit Barrel - Chambered .338Edge/Super Match/5groove/10twist/straight taper to 1" at the muzzle/26.5in long with out MB.
Muzzle Brake - which I made, and works well.
Ken Farrell Scope Base - 30moa pinned to the action by me.
Night Force Scope Ring's - Low.
H.S. Percision Stock.
D.E. Cheek Piece.
Duracoated - Ultra Flat Desert Tactical Tan
Bedded by me.

I think I have seen it on another long range fourm as well, looks like one I have seen before. Good looking gun :tup:

I really gotta get better at shooting my savage. Bought some heavier ammo to experiment with. Need a new trigger. Are you using custom loads or factory?

custom you have to reload for the 338Edge it's a wildcat. It's a 300rum necked up to 338.

With a little more practice youll be getting first round hits at every yardage! My buddy is planning the same build just about, how much did it run you if you dont mind

I have $2233.73 in to this gun with die's and smith work, and not counting the $800 doller scope or shipping and handling plus some other minor fees.

Thats actually pretty reasonable for a thousand yard gun and around the same budget hes shooting for. Ill let him know about your gun and see if he has any question.
