This is a new camera for me and not sure why but at night I get black photos.  I tried it at home and the IR worked outside and took some good pics but in the field all I got was dark photos.  I must be setting it up wrong in the field or getting a reflection of something.  Any ideas?

Sounds like the ir flash isn't working?  Have you tried it again? Can you slow the shutter?

I tried it when I got home and got pics but some were black.  Maybe I'll call primos.

I bought the same camera. I got nice clear night pictures with mine. I think I had it set at 5mp and the medium IR settings. I don't remember which one though. It took real nice day time pictures and pretty good night ones too. Set it back to the factory default and see what happens.
