26 Dogs for Gringo
7    Dogs for Swag
33 Dogs for team Dogpile

Alright guys here goes, try to get Team Dogpile up to date for this years Derby…
We will start off with the very first dog of the derby taken by myself in the early morning of Nov. 1

Off course the next 5 were taken by Gringo  :bash:

Than I managed to squeeze in 2  :IBCOOL:

Than of course he pushed in 3 more  :yike:

& 2 more for gringo  :bash: :bash:

& another  :bash: :bash: :bash:

& 2 more for Ol Gringo  :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

HEY LOOK I actually got one!!!!!  :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

And then he felt Treatened by that one & went out & got 1 more….  :bash:

So I went out & got one.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Then we Went out thanks giving morning & he stole one of these 3 from me again.  3 more for Ol Gringo.  :bash: :bash: :bash:

And just because he could he got these 2 & called me to come take Pictures. He made up some B.S. that he didn’t have time because of work…..  :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

I shot another one….  :chuckle:

Once again he thought I was getting to close & shot 3 more..  :yike: :yike:

2 more for Gringo :bash: :bash: :bash:

Then old gringo picked up 2 one night & one of them was a real Pig.  Weighed in at 40lbs . :IBCOOL:

So went out & dropped one almost as big at 38lbs… :bash: :bash: :bash:

So 26 for Gringo  :kneel: & an embarrassing 7 for me…. :bash: But at least I have the satisfaction of know Gringo is staying motivated by the threat of me catching up...  :dunno:

The problem with posting all the pics at once is that we lose the ability to tell the stories behind them or I just forget which dog when with which story.  BUT, thanksgiving morning Swag and I went out and had a great day.  On one of the stands with me doing all the shooting so far (including a non excusable miss) this dog comes over the top of a ridge coming in very nicely.  It stops at around 180 yards and I'm thinking "good enough for me" but I'm feeling guilty of being "the dog hog" (as I'm called now and again) so I show some self control and painfully sit and watch a standing dog under 200 yards.  He keeps coming and stops this time about 80 yards.  I'm waiting for Swag to take him as he and are are sitting about 20 yards apart both facing the same way.  In reality, I probably only waited 10 seconds or so but I couldn't take it any longer and planted him, only to look up and over at Swag and see him not looking so happy with me.  I ask, "Why didn't you shoot?" and he tells me, "he would have kept coming....".

So for you guys out there, where do you draw the line?  For me, I've had way too many dogs come in hard that either come and leave as hard as they come in or I have trouble getting them to stop.  All this comes down to if they are within 100 yards and standing still, I have very little restraint.   :dunno:

How do you guys who hunt together sort this all out.  Frankly, I don't care who or when someone shoots (on a single) as long as they don't miss :chuckle:   If they do, they might be getting some crap..... :hello:
