4pm just minutes ago looking out my back door, got to be a hundred of these things just 100 yards away from my door and less than 50 yards from my shop.

Man......I love Heaven!!

Looks like you bought the Glorfield place.   Used to be 80 - 100 less coyotes a year on that loop when Travis and I were around for the winter.   The last full winter I was home was '03 and I stayed at George Knott's place and Travis and I fed and calved for him while he was dying of cancer.   I built a 12 twist .243 and slayed about 60 that winter with a 75 grain V-max.  Chuck's little strech is always good because he always has a few dead cows in the winter.

Called this little female. Perfect set up in a stubble field overlooking a nice drainage. I dug out the range finder, got my yardage and started calling. I got this OLY ARMS 243WSSM dialed in for the longer shots but had yet to get blood on it. After calling for 15min or so I heard something coming through the stubble. Of course not even in the direction I was set up in! To my surprise  :yike: here came this little dog bounding up and down following the combine track to me. This stubble was over 2ft high so almost made it impossible to see her coming in. Being ready for the shot in the opposite direction I grabbed the gun and began to swing around for the shot. Bipod stuck in the stubble as I started to rotate I looked like I was having a seisure trying to free the bipod for the shot! By the time i got a bead on her she was 40yds and closing. Bang the WSSM goes off and the dog turns on the afterburners. Till the 100yd range then I let another one loose and azz over tea kettle she goes! 58gr V-max makes a mess!

This little guy couldn't resist the vittles radiating through the new diaphram mouth call I have been working on!

This one really liked what was going on. Yearling pup came in just like they should.

I had seen this guy from over 600yds out and got set up. I literally threw eight different sounds at this one before the commitment was established on his part. I lost sight of him as he was a downwinder! Not a good choice on his part. I pretty much knew where he was headed so I packed up and headed towards him. He was eventually going to cross my scent path by going the way he did. I got to where I felt good with the shot options I had if he were to pop out. Laying down prone I squeeked and guess who popped up on the hill 60yds from me! Looking directly into the sun and only able to make out a silouette of him standing full frontal the .223 connected with a chest shot and the death spin began down the backside of the hill. I had to stop the suffering from the first shot, hence the multiple breathing holes.

Payed a visit to the honey hole and had this hard charger come into an good sequence I put together on the Kanati Tek! :IBCOOL:

Finally I can get these posted so Gringo will get off my back..
Last Friday went out & had a wonderful day playing in the snow. Pull off some wicked shoots cleaning up on a couple of Runner after some poorly placed shots by a buddy I was hunting with.  Made a morning off if by finishing off with two more on a couple of sets.

Gringo had me stop buy & take some pictures of 2 he had got that mornings as well.

Went out on Saturday with Gringo & as usual he played the role of dog hog & shot 6.

While I managed to sneak in a quick shot & beat him to the punch on this one dog.

I went out Monday morning to do a couple of stands at a friend's place who said the coyotes are thick.  It was foggy, and nothing was moving.  Same thing trying to spotlight in the fog--nothing!  I've come to the conclusion that hunting on foggy days is a waste of time.

Picked up this single.  The geese were acting all stupid, I figured it was the eagles messing with them but then saw this guy and ruined his day.  I believe this one makes 60 for me.

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

I almost forgot to post this little guy, I got him coming out of the pasture next door,  the day after all of the Freezing rain.  Even after he took a serving of 168 grain A-max he still didn’t want to give the goose up.
