Antler in Velvet Tan
« on: December 15, 2011, 07:15:02 AM »
should of asked all my friends on here what they thought about this product before i ordered it, but just received it in the mail last night.  i found their name through a forum for tanning velvet on antlers.  Knoblochs, Antler in Velvet Tan is what its called.  sounds really easy to use and hopefully will not ruin the deer i got this year.  please let me know what you guys think
i ordered two pints but should only take one im thinkin.
still wresting the idea of how to boil the skull for a european mount without ruining the velvet on the horns.  still thinking cutting off the horns from the skull is the best way do deal with it, just didn't want to affect the dimensions of the horns from cutting them off.  anyway, let me know what you fellers are thinkin.  thanks

For a velvet euro I would go.to.a taxi. They can tan the velvet then tape and plastic the antlers and use beetles to clean the skull. This is the only way I think. This thread should be moved by the way.
