Coyotes and weather
« on: December 29, 2011, 08:20:32 AM »
I know the general rules about hunting in less than good weather conditions. Given it's supposed to rain here until sunday or monday, would it be better to try during a rainy day or the day after? Do they hunt as well when it's raining or do they bed down more at night? I'm trying to up my odds of seeing one and calling some in but I'm not sure where to put my chips so to speak.

I've called them in in all weather conditions. Like I say, you can't call any in if your sittin at home.

Unfortunately is hasn't been getting very cold. The clouds have been keeping the moon from shining through so I'm sure they're eating well. I told the wife if I didn't have any luck soon she is going to be holding a spotlight for me  :chuckle: I wish the weather over here would just get freezing but I'm not sure that's gonna happen this year. Hoping the rain gives em hell so they're hungry enough to fall for my calls.
