Spokane Frozen Yet?
« on: January 06, 2012, 05:06:29 PM »
I have been looking at the weather reports for Spokane lately because I am going over there the 13th. The weather has not been below freezing (I think) in the day times but I don't know about the night. The reason that I will be over there is for hockey, but I really want to duck hunt (and maybe coyote too). If the lakes are not frozen, then I will probably hunt on a lake like fishtrap or something. If they are frozen then I want to try and hunt the Pond Orielle. Any reports from Spokane would be helpfull.

All the water I know of is frozen, It has been warm, but not enough to melt the lakes. I have not been to fishtrap but can't imagine it being open.

Well thank you guys. I guess that I will just half to drive a little farther to get a duck. Can you manuver the PO river with just a float tube? I just need to manuver around the shore to put out the dekes. From pictures, it looks like a mellow river.

Yes,
You can get around on the river in a float tube. It is very mellow but very cold.
