10mm reloading recipe

I just started reloading 10mm and have been using a 165 gr hollowpoint and 10gr blue dot powder.

Im.wanting to do some target loads and eventially start loasing up.some hard cast lead.

I.went.to.the range last nihht and i could tell a big difference from the over the counter ball ammo and my reloads especially the price,  the cheapest 10mm i can find is $17 a box and im reloading it at about $9 a box

I bought some cheap 10mm ammo once and I fired it through a chrono. It was the same speed as a 40 so its pretty week stuff. on the other hand I was givin some buffalo bore 200 grainers XTPs and they just plain hurt out of my G29. dont know thw speed but they were less that pleasant to shoot.

I use a lot of Blue Dot myself in the 10 for my plinking and playing loads. I believe I'm running A#9 if memory serves over the top of 200 grain XTPs for my sd loads

Im looking at getting a lone wolf 6in barrel,  I was going to also get a .40 cal barrel for it but i have no need now that im reloading thw 10mm

I guess my question is where the hell are you finding 10mm for 17 a box? I'm assuming they aren't brass cases?

I have a lone wolf ported 6" in my 20 I like it. reloading is a bit tricky with it. Id recomend buying a Lee factory crimp die and a bulge buster. Ive had no issues since i started using them.

I used a lot Blue Dot in the 10mm until I got sick of weighing every charge. It just doesn't meter well enough for me to throw charges without checking them. Now I use AA #7 for most loads becaus I can run it through the progressive press.

Be carefull running hot loads through a Glock factory barrel. If you really want to push the 10mm hard you should look into an aftermarket barrel. I run mine out of a 6.5" S&W 610 revolver, and I've shot stuff I'd never try in any auto loader!
