Animals behavior change during hunting season.

I have a friend that set up three trail cams last summer. He moved his cameras all around, had great pics and had bragged that he had picked out his bull he was going to harvest. He set up a tree stand and had the elk all patterned & was very sure of his success. He had pics from all summer and thought he had them pegged. Well the last five days before season he didn't get a single elk picture or see a single elk during the season. Seems the extra activity right before season clued them in and they got the hell out of there five days before season started. Moral of this story; don't count your chickens before they hatch. Great pics guys, hope to see some photos of those animals down this season. Mike

Yep. I notice a difference about the middle of August with most critters. Then the ones that are left disappear within days of the opener. Too many folks doing last minute scouting, locating with calls and of course my fav... sighting in their rifles in the huntin' woods.  :dunno:
