An honest question?
« on: January 13, 2012, 10:40:50 AM »
Now that the Canadian Grey Wolf has been released and is classified as an endangered animal in this State and a Big Game Animal in other States why are people allowed to keep them as pets? How is this different than a pet grizzly or a pet black bear? Shouldn't there be new laws to prevent them from being bought and sold as dogs?

I think this is such a grey area because Wa state at one time made it illegal to own wolves, but hybrids were legal, so a 99% wolf was ok. This causes lots of problems for the forrest and the laws as you could imagine that the only way to "prove" it would be a DNA test... So technically you cannot own wolves in this state, but can own hybrids...

Owning a dog that is 99 % wolf is a bad idea. if you dont keep it on a leash or in you're yard you are liable to end up with a dead dog...just sayin.... not everybody obeys the law :twocents:
