I've purchased 3 safes from Costco online.  Costco doesn't charge for shipping and they deliver it right to your house.  It's called curb side shipping but I have yet to get a driver that wouldn't wheel it into my garage.

Like many have said, pick the one you think will be big enough then actually get the next size bigger because you ALWAYS wish they were bigger.

One of the things to look for with safes is what they weigh.  This is one of those times were the more it weighs, typically, the better the safe.  Also, do you want interior or exterior hinges?  Personally, I like exterior hinges better because the door will open a full 180 were as a interior hinge only allows for slightly over 90 degrees.  Some will try and tell you external hinges can be sawed off and are easier to break into but this is false becasue as long as the door lugs are locked the hinge doesn't matter.

Costco sells Rhino and Bighorn safes that are made in Id. and they are a very good safe.  Costco is always running some kind of sale on Bighorn safes so if you are patient you can get a really good safe for less.

Hope this helps and good luck with your safe purchase.

Like everyone said.. Go as big as you can afford.  Sounds like in your price range the Costco ones are a good bet.

I've got a 60 gun Fort Knox and love it.  The guys I bought it from were great and they even offered to come out and help me move it when I bought a new house.
