Nice fish...   But there are not too many people who fish for salmon and steelhead on this site.  Which is kind of nice.  YOu can post all sorts of stuff about fishing here and there and no one gets pissy.  But do NOT do that with any hunting locations.  LOL!!!

So what river?

My buddy is Mike Dickson from flyfishsteelhead.com  I use his Yancy line with a cut down 15ft sinktip

The fly is a blue over purple marabou with a hand made rainbow dubbing.  I Make all my flies for steelhead with a stinger hook in the back.  Works really well

Beautiful fish.  That buck is a dandy!

How hard are they hitting it on the swing?  Just a subtle stop, or a good thump?
