I get the best response from Rick's calls.  (RR Calls).  Those cheap plastic commercial calls are a waste of time and money.  :twocents:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I like Ricks's calls, they are top of the line and on my lanyard but before I used them I called a lot of critters with Sceery, Circe/Lohman, Olt, JS and Herters calls.  I'm sure I can still call coyotes with a rubberband call.  Most every call on the market will call critters some are just more versatile and easier to use.

My favorites are the.

1. RR open reed
2, RR closed reed
3. Sceery close reed cottontail
4. Tweety Syco
5&6.  Sceery Howler with the big bell removed and a new one I picked up yesterday from Tony Tebbe, it looks like it will be my favorite.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Make mine a Minaska

I'm pretty new to the Coyote Calling world. I do not have any custom calls.
I haven't killed dozens of yotes, either. How ever I have had allot of encouters, and interactions with them. Using calls I've bought from Bi-Mart,Wal-mart, Sportsmans warehouse, & Cabala's.

I think most of it is learning how, and when to use the sounds.  Primo's Catnip is one of my favorites, as well as there Lil' dog howler. Other than that I use my turkey diaphragms.  Keep mixing it up. Depending on what stand I'm on, and what I used the last time I was there.
Coyote Madness 7 Stats:
Stands : 39
Kills : 3
Runners : 6
Misses : 5

I bought a closed reed call from Rick and it sounds great and it is loud!! And it is so easy to use. I also plan to get an open reed call from him as well.  When I use my Crit R call my lip and cheek muscles get tired it also doesn't help matters when it is cold and you have Kodiak chew in your mouth-get some off notes to say the least.  Also my son comes with me sometimes and the closed reed call is a great way to teach him the sounds before trying the open reed call. I also take my foxpro Fury.
