Just got my mojo critter in the mail yesterday. I'm excited to go use it can't wait!! Anyone have some story's with one!?

I have one, but I have been using the fox pro black jack with the remote for on/off and different speeds.

Haven't got any mojo critter stories yet. I do have a mojo hawk for sale though.

I was night hunting in the Desert Unit and it is scary enough out there at 01:00 in the morning all  by yourself.  An owl flew over the top of me at 15-20 feet and they are huge at night. Scarred the fertilizer out of me.  I realized it spotted my Mojo Critter and was swooping in for a closer look.

Just don't push it too hard into the ground, it will crack the housing. I've modified several of them using black abs pipe and fittings and now they are near bullet proof.

They work great, if the hungry coyote sees it while when you're calling then you should be in for a good set up

I got one for Christmas last year and had a coyote strut right up to it and just look at it. The sage brush was really tall so I jambed the critter into a crack on the top of a rail road tie fence post about 80 yds in front of me. The coyote looked straight at me and then went for the critter. It was funny watching this coyote looking up at it and not knowing how to get it down.

Yes I have the stake taped to pvc which i slide over another stake pounded in the ground.  that was the first thing i thought when i saw it.  the plastic housing did not look durable enough to shove in the ground.  i also can adust the height using different lenght pvc.  some areas have too long of grass or sage to really see the decoy from any kind of distance.  the idea is to get their attention on the decoy and away from you as you move and get into shooting position.

 I have used one off and on for a few years. I like my quiver critter a lot better, I am thinking about picking up the black jack.

I use my Mojo on almost every stand.  I have made my own attractor attachments from various items to match the sounds I use.   Made one with feathers for bird noises, various dog toy parts for other injured critters, and a bright one for cloudy / gloomy days.

Also, to help prevent breaking the base while while trying to push the spike into the ground.  Get a piece of 1/2 inch PVC pipe and put a cap on one end.  Different lengths allows different heights.  Mount the spike onto the cap with a nut/washer on each side.  Push this into the ground and than insert the Mojo onto the piece of PVC as the base of the Mojo is 1/2 inch.

I have a western rivers decoy which worked great in the desert and plains, but has done nothing for me here on the wetside.  Not sure why?  When I was stationed down in Cali those darn red tail hawks would snag it fly away and always seem to drop my decoy several hundered yards away.  there was a couple of times I though I would never get it back.

This might be slightly off the subject, but I have a question. I recently bought a primos turbo dog electronic caller and shortly after I purchased the black Jack decoy made by foxpro. My question is, I was wondering if the two are compatible or is the black jack onlycompatible with foxpro electronic callers? I havent had the chance to test it because after I bout the decoy i got home to play with it and realized in small print on the package it said that i need a 3.5mm patch cable that connects it to the caller. Any help would be appreciated.

I may be wrong, but I THINK the foxpro decoys are only compatible with the foxpro callers.  I have a Jack Attack decoy, similar to the Black Jack, and one of the reasons I got that model is that it has its own remote, and doesn't have to be linked to the caller.  (It fits in my backpack better than the Jack-in-the Box too).

You have to find out what the voltage input to the decoy is. Then what the voltage output of your call is.

I also use an old camera tripod that the mojo critter screws right into (i was gonna toss the tripod, till I got the idea)...I place it next to a bush, have some camo burlap to cover up the stand...and use it to get above some of the brush we have round here in western wa. Just high enough to get the movement out there.

On the subject of a Blackjack on other callers, I use it on my minaska.  I don't believe ther is any power going from thr caller to the decoy, the aux switch just closes the circut you have to turn it on at the decoy before you can run it with the aux controll

Thanks for the input. I tried it today and I got the decoy to work with my primos turbo dogg call. Can't wait to put it to use.

Becareful with decoys and E caller's I found out the hardway that my foxpro doesnt like my western rivers decoy.  After 15 minutes my callers stopped working, first thought the batteries.  Nope they worked just fine, found out that the electric motor in my decoy was creating a emp that the foxpro TX24 remote could not handle.   After a lot of research on the foxpro forums it seems to be safe to have matching brands of e callers and decoys becuase they test and fix these issues before they leave the factory.
