« on: July 17, 2007, 07:33:58 AM »
i know it's not washington, but it was a great trip in some beautiful country. 2 years ago 5 of us went to rock creek for 4 days of fishing for my bachelor party weekend the weekend before the wedding. a couple buddies came out from new york and a couple from here and we took off for a guys weekend. hope you enjoy the pics. it was the best fishing trip of my life and i won't soon forget it.

The new york boys were a little leary being in bear country
we ended up seeing 2, though we weren't quick enough with the cameras. maybe nyhunter will come on here and tell his "bear" story.

No doubt some very pretty country, I do miss spending time up there.  Thanks for sharing the pics!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

That was some trip. If I recall correctly the one bear we spotted was ripping up a vertical stump reaching into the top of it as we drove buy, slamming on the brakes to back up and try to get a pic, real subtle like, the bear took off like a shot and jump over a blow down that had to be at least a three foot leap in the air. I seem to remember everyone in the truck kind of nodding off or maybe just in that relax state of mind just before someone yelled Bear. Then the discussion of what type of bear took place because of the brownish color, I think jackelope had the final say. It was a great trip looking forward to another real soon.
