I was in Swain's a few months ago and wasn't impressed by their prices or selection. I remember them having better stuff many moons ago. I will have to check out the new place the next time I blow through.
I'll have to pop in there. Did they mostly have salt or fresh gear? The building (if it is the one I'm thinking of) used to have guns and coffee. I went in there once and bought a gun faster than a group of Californians could buy their coffee. They were all shocked and kept questioning the owner about how there was 'no way' it could or should be legal for me to have been able to buy that gun that quickly.I wonder if it could be the guy in Carlsborg that has the hidden tackle shop, he or his nephew are occasionally guides?
Sweet! I don't get up there very often but I will make it a point to visit. I prefer to do my outdoor gear shopping at smaller local shops. I found a new (new to me) fly shop in Lacey today that I will be giving my business to instead of Cabela's or Whoresale Sports. I hope the guy in PA can make a good go of it!
