Backcountry Trophies
« on: March 20, 2012, 12:40:10 PM »
Bear, deer, whatever it may be as long as it required scouting and sweating to get there! Let's see them!

My 2011 high hunt buck (posted elsewhere, too...)

Eberlestock... go in light, come out heavy.  :chuckle:

Eyeguard's Idaho wilderness buck..

... next year's trophies:

I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

Great Pic's! Looks like a great time! A Gal at work drew an Enchantments hike permit for the second year in a row. Hope to get a report on any deer/goat activity up there!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

This is my 2011 buck, 27 1/2 inch spread. Its been posted on the forum a bit, but I thought I toss it in here. 12 miles total, not including hunting the area. Next year, I am going after a buck I call "Drop Tine"...5x5 with about a 4 inch dropper on his left side.

Good lookin animals guys.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

All bears and all 3 videos are from the Mt. Baker Wilderness.

I'm assuming you're talking about the one laying on his back.  He scored just over 20 if I recall correctly.

The one with the blood on the rock is actually a very misleading bear.  She scored maybe 16" but her tooth age came back at 19 years old!   :yike:
