« on: March 22, 2012, 04:41:46 PM »
I am heading down to Burke lake in the morning. Never fished there and was wondering if any of you had any tips on catching the trout. Thanks

Start shallow if in early AM.   work your way deeper.

I talked to the guys at Hooked on Toy's in Wenatchee last Sat, and they said over in Burke and Quincy use a white marshmallow and pink power egg. They knocked em dead in a couple of hours. Good luck  Tell us how you do.

I will be in my boat. Think trolling flyes, wedding rings, or spoons would work?

Well it was a nice day on the water Friday. Lots of people bank fishing, 5 boats and 6 people on inflatable pontoons. We ended up with a total of 32 trout. We only kept a few of the bigger fish. The biggest fish was only 13in. Lots of them around 10-12. Just about everything we pulled behind the boat worked. Flies were the ticket though.  One guy we talked to got a 20 incher on a fly rod. Thanks for the info guys.

Sounds like a great day!  All rainbows?  :dunno: I have been wanting a tiger trout ever since they started planting them.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Sounds like a good day on the water  I'll be headed over there in a few weeks. Did you fish any of the other lakes over there or just burke?

Bass & Muskeys will start to wake up soon in Evergreen. Use to be a good crappie lake.
