I can find him, just wasn't drawn this year, August cannot get here soon enough...
But when will you be hunting in area ? , I know several good spots.

because I am not "hunting" this spring, I set out a bait (bird feeder) in the spot, let me see if I can load this...
I am 6'4" and I hung it as high as I could reach, wish the picture would have come out better, and this is not the large boar I call "Shoulders" either.

I am skipping out of work and headed down there tomorrow afternoon for the evening hunt, spend the night and hunt all day Friday.  I have never hunted that area before.  There are 5 separate areas shaded on the Lincoln.pdf, anyone have suggestions on where to start?  I was hoping that Weyerhaeuser would send me an email saying where recent bear damage is, but no such luck yet.

I drew for spring bear and have been up there a couple times for deer but not in the areas they have open. I know what you mean about can't wait for August!! And be sure to look for the bird seed lol

I do not know that much about bears (yet) but my little spot seems to me to be a favorite area for a sow, mostly due to my first sighting of a bear in area was a sow and cub.
There is also a tree in there that would be about 12 feet tall, and is 3-4 inches thick...it has been rubbed and bitten and bent down from some action that I can only guess is used as some sort of scent marker.
not fresh this year, but due to its appearance I am keeping an eye on it, as I suspect that if this sow goes into heat she gets "all frisky" with it.
 
I think the home range of the sow and boar overlap in this area, and she had the cub with her the last 3 years, I am thinking the one standing is the cub, now 4.
But as I said, I do not know that much about bears, really only started studying them 3 years ago. but I am learning...

Yeah I also started hunting and learning about bears the past 3 to 4 years. I've have always bought a bear tag but that was just in case I happened to cross paths with one but these past few years I've been focusing more and more on bears.This was the first year I put in for spring bear and got drawn for Lincoln. Little upset about how late the state decided to give out the maps this year and how little land it looks to be on the map, but I'm going to hunt it hard in the next couple weeks and see what I can see. Hopefully its good and Ill put in for it again next year.

Those are 2 good looking bears.
I'm like many others just starting to learn about bears, this is my second year. I was in there last weekend and there's a pretty good amount of land to hunt. I will be going back on Friday and tring a different part of the area

main road through area, they already are.  but few get out and "hunt", they just drive ...

Yeah I got what your saying... need to put on my big boy boots and hike around a lot used to doing that anyways!
