Pretty sure you have until the end of today to put in. I think last year they were out by late April.
Shut up and Hunt!

Has anyone heard of the time the new regulations might come out.

The proposed new regulations are set to be adopted at the April 13-14 Commissioner's meeting, so the regulations should come out the following week. They probably already have them printed by now would be my guess. But they have to wait for the commissioner's to officially adopt them so it looks like they are following the proper process.

The multiseason application deadline is today. So don't forget to apply before it is to late.

Whats the average points for getting drawn last year?

I heard they were adding a couple hundred multiseason elk permits and a thousand multiseason deer permits this year.  Im sure its to make sure that the optimum number of animals are harvested and not to just collect the couple of hundred bucks it cost once you are drawn. :chuckle:

Leave it to the WDFW to figure out how to suck a little bit more money out of everyone, without actually doing anything to increase the quality of game! :twocents:

Since 2006, WDFW has conducted annual drawings for multiple-season hunting permits, which allow a certain number of hunters to participate in all general hunting seasons for deer and elk. Without the special permit, hunters must choose among archery, muzzleloader or modern firearm seasons.

WDFW has proposed increasing the number of deer permits from 4,000 currently to 8,500, and the number of elk permits from 850 to 1,250. State wildlife managers told the commission in January that increasing permit levels will expand hunting opportunities without posing a risk to deer and elk populations.

The multiseason permit is the only reason we will not go to a statewide elk tag. This is a cash cow for the department. I buy a westside elk tag, that is where i have grom up hunting. So when i get the opportunity (draw the multi tag) i buy it and apply for east side permits. And i get to hunt rifle elk. I usually hunt rifle elk. But if they went to a statewide elk permit i wouldn't buy the multi tag and thus they lose money. We all know they don't like that.

Yep, that's right, it's now a guaranteed draw. No need to build up points for the deer multi-season tag anymore. That's why I applied for it this year even though I most likely will not buy it. I wanted to at least leave the option open. Now I will have to the end of August to decide if I want to spend the money on it.

What a joke, between deer and elk they are going to generate over an additional million dollars and do absolutely zero to improve wildlife, habitat or the outdoors for the people paying for it.  I'm sure Skeletor or "Chris" has a grand plan on how to take all the money from special license sales and put it into a general fund or some other BS government program. :bash:
