legal as is? Musket nipple attached there is also a hole drilled into that "hammer so you can actually see the nipple. My heart tells me it's not...

I think that if you can see the cap and weather (water) can get to it then it is legal.

I believe the wording on the rule is 'with the gun in the cocked and ready to fire position the cap must be visible and exposed' It would be an easy look up in the Washington regs... your are slightly different than mine here in Idaho
