I thought it looked pretty cool to, but there are a lot of sceptics out there who have me second guessing. I think I will wait for some consumer reviews to start pouring in first. Alchase posted a good review from CNET of it on another thread...

That pic is so clear, it looks cartoonish. Neat to see advancement in photography

why not have the whole picture in focus, instead of clicking an area to have it in focus and the rest blurry?

The focus is used by some to highlight or play down an area. If you focus on the subject and blur the background it makes the picture more dramatic.
