Duckman,

Just giving you my .02.  I personaly am not overly impressed with Traditions or any other inline for that matter, made in the last couple of years.  I would however recommend trying to find a Thompson Center Black Diamond.  Gun Broker.com has several listed for sale around  $150.00 to $ 250.00.

I own a tradition, Vortex NW Mag,  Knight, Bighorn and two TC Black Diamonds.  The TC BD's will shoot darn near anything you stuff down them with out complaint, I have well over 500 rounds with not one failure to fire issue.  Also, the tool required to completely disassemble the rifle will fit in your front pocket and weights a couple of ounces.

If you must have a new one then I would recommend a Knight.

Agian, just my opinion other will be different.

duckman, I have a friend that has a very nice LK-II ( predecessor to the Knight Wolverine) that he would like to move and I believe he is in that price range...  It is a Stainless Steel - black composite stock - great condition...
