I just received this from RMEF. This would be a good survey for anyone who has been wolf hunting to respond to. Go to the link in the RMEF message below. The purpose is to help ensure more successful wolf hunts.
"Dear RMEF Members and Supporters:
Just like elk, wolf populations also need to be controlled and managed on balance with other human and wildlife needs. However, hunters in Idaho and Montana were unable to meet wolf harvest quotas in 2011-12, leaving wolf populations well above science-based objectives in many areas.
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation wants to help. Through education, we hope to make hunters a better and more effective management tool.
We’d like to hear about your personal wolf-hunting experiences, gear, strategies and ideas. Our plan is to compile the info and share it with wolf hunters everywhere.
