22LR With Iron Sights
« on: May 11, 2012, 06:53:01 PM »
I need your help guys.
I've been looking for a heavy 22LR with iron sights to mount a Williams peep site.
I like a really heavy riffle preferably with stainless barrel for shooting around but I don't want a toy either.
Most of the heavy barrel and with stainless are manufactured for scopes.
Is it possible for a gunsmith to tap a few holes to mount on iron sites?
Thanks

Yes, they could drill and tap.  with a heavy barrel, they could even cut deep dovetails for you. Ruger 10/22 has lots of heavy barrel options (aftermarket) available--designed for benchrest.  You could even get one of the weighted thumbhole stocks for it.

I have one, very accurate. Not stainless though, and for great accuracy could use a better stock.
Never, ever let Creed hold you baby, it will ruin it and you will have to get another.
