I picked up a Rem700 Sendero years back, chambered in 7mm STW. Also had a Ruger No#1 7mm STW, a rechambered 7mm magnum. I liked the cartridge, it was flat shooting. They were replaced with a 7mm Ultra Magnum and the 160 Accubond. The 160's really shine in that cartridge and will flat put the hurt on elk.

I'm no expert, but I shot my buddies 7mm stw a few times.  We set up some small coleman propane bottles at 500 yards and nailed them every time.  Hes shot a lot of critters out past 500, including an elk a couple years ago at close to 900 yards.
