Ready for breakin (new cyn crosser)
« on: May 19, 2012, 12:44:23 PM »
My new toy is all done and ready to put some rounds down range for the break in. I plan on getting turrets once I get my info to send in. I started with a rem 700 sps 300 ultrs mag, sims recoil, got the stock done, DNZ mounts and rings, break was done by SMK here in Wen. Burris black diamond 6-24x50. I plan on starting with the berger 210 grain and drop from there, I am kinda curious if I will need more barrel twist with the higher BC bullets, we will see

looks good! if that had the 10 twist barrel you will be fine with the 210 bergers and even 215 bergers. i am loading berger 215 grainers for my ultra now, and am starting to see some good results.

I like the stock and that Vais Arms brake. 210's and 215's should do great in that factory barrel, perfect cartridge for Central WA.

I would try the Berger 230gr Tac OTM's they have a higher BC than the 210gr's, and they are a hybrid and are supposed to be easier to get to shoot.
From what I have read they work in 1-10 twist barrel.

That looks like a standard XCR stock. Where did you get that finish done? Looks sweet.

For the 210 Berger's I was having best groups with 3.69 owl barely fit factory mag. And 90 grains retumbo and fed 215 m. I am on to 215 betters now with 90.2 grains retumbo at 3.800 oal in a Wyatt's. Shoots sub moa at 220 and I am going tostretch out soon. Let us know what works for yours!
