Will he be legal? Crappy photo so your pre-warned
« on: May 21, 2012, 08:27:14 PM »
Anyone think he'll be legal? This is the first time I've seen this buck in this area and it was taken last Saturday. I know it's a real crappy pic, I had to take a pic of a pic that was blurry to begin with. I'm setting up the trail can next week to try and track his growth

It's a 3point min. I know I seen a huge buck last year one time in the area but he was narrow and TALL, I've always heard that a mule deers ears are about 20 in wide and it appears he's about there so I'm hoping he's a different buck and that other one shows as well.

He will split up top with some more growth, I see my share of Mulies over here similar to the one pictured. They are just getting started. Give it a month or so of growth. That's  how they all start out, even the BIG boys. Four of them about that size trotted in front of my truck for 100 or so yards yesterday.

Looks like he's safe because I don't see any roads in the background :dunno:  at least he'll be able to survive the road hunters.  If he's anywhere I plan to hunt this fall then he'd better watch out because I've been out scouting the last 4 weekends in 4 different areas and maybe he's in one of them. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I don't think so! Lol, he's on private property so I doubt it's any you've seen, but you never know  :dunno:

well sounds like he'll live for quite awhile if he can just figure out that nobody will touch him as long as he stays on that side of the fence. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
