pistol rifle Q
« on: May 26, 2012, 12:46:29 PM »
i am looking into buying a Heritage Rough Rider 22/22M 4.75 BL to carry on my trap line and i was wondering if anyone has one and wanted to share how well it works. i also am thinking about a single shot 22 bolt action rifle instead of the pistol any ideas???  i don't want something expensive because its going to get beat up allot.

The Heritage Rough Rider pistols are good guns as long as you understand that they are inexpensive guns. They aren't nearly as nice as a Ruger Single-six, but they will function well and are reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

I have the same gun you are looking at, buy the one with adjustable sights and I bet you will love it! I had to file down my front sight quite a bit to get the point of impact where I wanted it but the gun functions flawlessly and seems reasonably accurate. The 22m cylinder comes with it and is very quick and easy to change out.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
