How are elk affected with the moon phases? The first week in Sept will be a full / last quarter moon.  :yike:

They rut within ten days of the equinox.  Before or after...  weather pressure water sources ect will decide that.  Everyone should just wait till the last week.   :chuckle:

Well if every one wants to stay home and let me hunt the early season on the first week, I'll report back and let every one know how the moon phase affected the Elk movement. I do plan on hunting the first week any ways!!
