This would be a good one for a poll  :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle: I listened to the 1st 10 callers and I think #6 sounds pretty dang good ...  :twocents:

Good idea, would it be possible to attach a poll to this?  Not that it counts towards the judges decision but, just something for the rest of us to play along and see who we all might think is going to win? :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

I've enjoyed listening to all the entries that Jason has been able to down load, so far. This is a great tool for myself to understand what I could better in order to sound better. I'll diffenittly need to work more on my calling and not be so mechanical after listening to all of them and hearing myself against the others! Great job every one.

All pretty good callers and I'm sure can call in elk. #6 sounds like he has had some experience at contest calling. great lip balls and grunts. Cow and calf calls are awsome. :twocents:

I didn't hear any grunts or chuckles in his routine though. Other than that, the guy is seriously dialed.

haven't heard 21 yet, but so far i like, in no particular order.  3,4,5,6, and 7.  12, 14, and 20 would get participation ribbons.

first place is #6 without a doubt.  all others not sure

I need to go listen to some elk.
I had some difficulties, but thought I did O.K., made it in at the last 2 minutes, but I am not as good as I thought I was, because I agree that #6 is my choice as a clear, beautiful..(must be Bilbo), I am surprised that mine is not even getting mentioned.. we all deserve the humility.
I wish I sounded as good as my imagination !!
I applaud the participants, and wish you all the best of luck !!

I wouldn't get discouraged. My list of favorites are different from what I'm seeing mentioned by others... actually quite a bit different. Our ears certainly hear the sounds differently and I wouldn't be surprised if the judges choose some different numbers as well.

There are some good clips here. I can take some techniques and vocalizations from all of them to hone my own skills. While its tough to put together a perfect 60 second sound clip, you'd be hard pressed to listen to any of these without hearing a couple of sounds that get you excited for elk season :)
