drew it two years ago, and my wife drew it this year. you will get a packet with all the info soon. all the gates are locked but they put combo locks on the day before the hunt. they tell you to go to a certain gate and others will go to other gates. Once your in there you can pretty much go anywere. It took me about 20 min to fill my tag. the elk are all over that time of the year. Good luck

Damn cow elk are like rats in there that late...  If you can not fill your tag the first or second morning, there is something wrong...
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

My son and i have this same tag. There is a reason i put a 12 year old in for this as his first opportunity at harvesting an elk. Meat on the table...

Thaty should be an easy tag to fill, lots of clearcuts, get up high in the morning and glass, you won't havbe any trouble.

i didn't think there were many clearcuts in margerat. looks to me like second growth and blast zone areas.
