Love to hunt and eat them!!

Here is a rare water retrieve on a grouse

years ago I dropped a grouse just above the Fortsen hole on the stillaguamish. I waited for it to drift through the pool before sending the dog after it, but I still got some dirty looks from the steelheaders  :tung:

Some great images so far!

However, with all the page views, I'm wondering of a handful of people keep coming back here because the poll results don't reflect much voting

I prefer the Dumb Grouse
"The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

I voted and keep coming back. Guess you can say im lurking. The pictures you guys are throwing up are great. They make me wish I'd taken the time to snap a couple myself. I saw a couple of grouse today while out scouting and one of them was a jumbo.

Prefer the blues, but won't pass on a spruce or a ruffed if it presents itself.

DAVE W if that is a 22lr 6 shooter on your hip and a side by side in your hands, i would say that would be my Ultimate way to hunt them!

Actually, in the top photo of the second post, I'm packing a .41 Magnum Blackhawk with the double barrel Beretta, and in the lower image, it's a Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt with a Benelli semi-auto

The image of me with the big handgun...yep, that's a Taurus .22 Magnum.

I had a .41 mag Blackhawk.  It was a great gun, I never should have sold it... Have you shot many grouse with yours?

Ahhh, nice going:
You just published images proving that you had a loaded gun ON a motorized vehicle, which is a no-no under our game regs.

I've only shot one grouse with a .41 magnum.  Really bad idea.

Not much left.

Go with a .22, .32 or .38 at the most.

Didn't they make a rule change so that you could use a Rig so that you could "post up" using it as a rest?
