My level of sarcasm depends on your level of stupidity...

You know its totally messed up when people apply for these multi season tags, but have no clue how to use each weapon and think that getting into bow hunting a week before season without practice, a bow, and shootin out to 100 yards is OK.  WTF?? Please stay home and leave the archery hunting to the dedicated and responsible bow hunters in Sept. Animals don't deserve to be wounded because of your last minute decisions to get into bow hunting!!!!  :twocents:

DoubleJ...you're "over thinking it"...why not just get a crossbow with one of those red dot hologram sights...you could easily launch one of those "arrows" to 200 yards and kill a big buck right from the quad....yes, I too see it all the time...two years ago I went home the day before deer season (hunted the "low lands" with my brother that year...) and decided to check out my old haunts on the back side of the Chelan Butte...I saw 3 legal bucks just milling around and then "Boom...Boom...Boom"...I come around the corner and there is a truck parked in the middle of the WDFW lands road with a guy shooting off of the hood of his truck at a cardboard box "about" 100 yards away...I asked him what he was doing and he said, "Just making sure it's good for tomorrow morning..." That was the last time I let my brother talk me into hunting the low lands with him!!!! (he had private lands secured in Mansfield...and it was still a zoo!)

I think about 75% of all hunters fall in that catigory. I heard people say with a rifle if they can hit a sheet of plywood at a hundred yards its fine. Also watched bow hunters shoot everyday on flat ground out to forty yards. Then go hunt were the animals live In the mtns and expect to hit something.

I have a 30 year old Hoyt/Easton Ram Hunter that you can use.  It has no break in the cam so it is 90 pounds all the way through the cycle.  It has killed a lot of critters and is a good luck bow.  You are more than welcome to use it.  ;)

I soiled myself when I first read this post; I thought you were serious til I saw the smileies at the end of the post.

With all the help you have given me this season to get me ready for my first bow hunt. I went from feeling really confident, to extremely nervous, to a little irritated because I was taken by the post in a matter of seconds.

I am heading out to put another 100 or so shots down field right now just to get my confidence back.
