as i sit here writing this there is a coyote howling 50-80 yds. behind my house in s. tacoma i hear them quite often and have seen them on occasion .you would expect this in the rural areas but south tacoma?

You'd be suprised how many "urban" coyotes there are out there.

I was watching a hunting program on TV last year and it said if ALL the coyotes in Texas were killed off, except those living within the city of Dallas, it would only take 3 years repopulate the entire state back to a "nuisance" level.
Must be a LOT of dogs in Dallas!
I left it better than I found it...did you?
I hunt animals because veggies are too easy to stalk.

Biologists estimate the coyote population in Seattle, at around 1000 coyotes.

I'd expect Tacoma to have similar, if not greater numbers.
