i gave up on GW a aweek ago. for 2 week i saw the same hunters at the same gates day after day so im not the only one up there that didnt find prospect.

I'm beginning to think you're my alter ego?!

A lot of the same areas and not seeing ant bucks!  Although I have found elk!

capitol forest, 9 hrs, fail.. driving through black diamond headed home a ahole pulls in front of me with a nice spike ratchet strapped to his toolbox  :bash: maybe tomorrow ill spend my gas money on booze, get loaded, and wait for late season  :chuckle:

The CF is not always an easy hunt and the biggest mistake I would say you made was posting at a quarter to 5 on a day like today.  :dunno:

One of the best days of the year (both rain and rut) and you were already home before the evening hunt.  :bash:

I saw you posted about hunting the CF on the 27th and saw nothing. Don't feel bad, we only saw one doe and a spike. Something was not right on Saturday up there.

Other than that we managed to see 6-12 deer a day up there while helping my 10 year old nephew. Got him on a spike but he tried too hard to make a perfect shot and when the buck tried to walk straight away I had to tell him not to shoot.

There are a lot of deer up there, but as stated, blacktails are not the easiest critters to find.

I'd say all I hear is a bunch of whining on this thread. It's not always easy, and some years are better than others, but if you love to hunt and the outdoors, it's always good just to be out there. Just put in your time and you'll succeed and have a positive attitude about it.
