Phelps Game Calls Signature Series Diaphragms
« on: November 12, 2012, 03:32:04 PM »
I have the press dialed in and I am ready to release three new calls.  The calls are designed to be call specific; cow, herd bull, and locator.  These calls will sell for $6.95/piece and can be ordered on a normal or a small frame.

I think they turned out pretty good

I have the bugle tubes for sale on the website.  The cover will be plain though.

The fancy covers will have to be special order.  If anyone really wants one let me know and I can put an order in for more.  I will need to get a quote on minimum order and price.

Those sound great. Especially the cow call. I prefer the Mellow yellow that Elk Nut sells over any Cow call because they fit my mouth and seem to naturally make sounds without hick ups. Lol

But yours sounds great also. Im gonna have to give one a try next early season.

Wildman,
The mellow yellow is a great call!  As for frame size, I am trying to figure out a way to have customers measure their palette to ensure they get a proper fit.

This call is similar in ease of use.  The break over is very smooth on this call and takes little effort.  I ended up with a .004 latex on this call to give it a deeper tone and it also allows the volume to be cranked way up without the call locking up.

I also have a recipe to make a call very similar but allow bugling.

I realize this is a very old post, but I was searching for how to measure for correct diaphragm size and it came up. So did you ever find a good way for someone to measure their palette? I am looking to order a few calls. Thanks.

Gus
