Win model 94 sights question
« on: January 01, 2013, 09:22:56 AM »
I've had this rifle, knowing something wasn't quite right with the sights but I have never taken the time to look into it. I want to add this rifle into the hunting rotation...can anyone help me figure out what I need? It definitely looks like whoever owned before me did some jimmy-rigging on the front. I added pics of rear sight and what is left on the front. Thanks everyone!

:) Back sight looks OK, front sight looks like the insert got loose and someone tried to "stake" it, note the dents. Looks like it could be cleaned up and a new sight put in. I do not remember how you calculate sight height. Try Brownells or a smith.

Thanks Wazukie! You did all the research for me. Can't wait to get it ordered and assembled.
