He was running a little buck off.  Funny behavior to be watching in September.  Just feeling his oats.  I'll post another pic of him shortly.  Piss poor light and raining, but a good document photo anyways.

He is certainly  in a class bigger than all the other whitetails I filmed.

He'd been rubbing pretty good.....you can compare with the other whities I will post up.  Check out the velvet buck, that's a little more norm for the area, and that one in the river.

So yes, he was darker "than average"
