Transfering firearms
« on: December 01, 2008, 08:30:40 PM »
I am passing 2 rifles and a shot gun down to my girl friends son and was wondering about transfer of ownership?  Anyone know the way to go about it?  He lives with his dad and I just wanted them in his name in case they get stolen or he decides to sell them.   Thank's for your help!

As long as he is 18, and can lawfully own firearms, there is no required paper work. If you just want something to cover your butt have his sign a bill of sale.
