I believe the regulation used to be based on the ear but they changed it to 4" from the skull recently.

The youngster could have some real strange antlers if he lives long enough, be interesting if he keeps that split at the base.  Any fawns or calves been sighted?  Lots of baby munching bears.  Thanks for sharing

Had one fawn but no calves. Only had one cow show up and didn't see a calf with her.

I have one also that is split at the base. This guy has a arrow from last season still in his shoulder on the opposite side as the horn deformation.

that's crazy! I've heard that if a buck/bull has an injury like that it'll effect antler growth on the other side. At least that's the rumor! Sweet bull!!
