My first Bear and first stew

The look on some of my family faces was priceless when I told them "Bear Stew" but it was a huge hit.

No better stew meat, wild or domestic IMHO
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

First ever of any kind.

After cubing the meat, I made a pepper, cajun seasoning mix in a gallon ziplock then soaked it with a garlic pepper marinade and in the fridge for about 24 hours. The rest is straight forward - drained, flour the pieces, brown in a pan along with onions and stew for about 5 hours. The pic shown was about 2-3 hours so it looked and tasted better than the pic shown.
